Are you feeling sad and low? Rescued by PETA, this adoptable tortoiseshell kitten will take you where you gotta go!

Slam it to the left if you’re ready to spice up this adoptable tortie’s life!

When my coworker first met the ginger-and-black beauty—who, as her Spice Girls–obsessed foster guardian, I lovingly dubbed “Sporty” after seeing the agile cat’s parkour-esque moves—it was in rural southeastern Virginia, where my fellow Community Animal Project fieldworkers and I answer endless calls for animals in desperate need. This call came from a well-intentioned resident who—after beginning to feed five free-roaming cats on her property—had become concerned about the cats’ fleas; their vulnerability to the dangers of cars, other animals, cruel humans, and disease; and the inevitable litters that would mean future generations would suffer. Overwhelmed by all of this, along with the cost of feeding five hungry mouths, the good Samaritan had decided to call PETA for help.

Shake it to the right if ya know that you feel feline about making Sporty a part of your family!

At the Sam Simon Center—our headquarters in Norfolk, Virginia—the girl group was finally safe from the horrific fates that await most homeless cats. And just as every ’90s girly had her favorite Spice Girl, the group’s one and only tortoiseshell—with her unmatched headbutting skills and caramel highlights, which reminded me of my own spicy tortie, Brandi—had me signing up to foster the sweet-natured kitten quicker than Baby Spice could sing, “If you wanna get with me, better make it fast”!

Safe and sound in foster care, Sporty Spice made it clear what she wants, what she really, really wants: a true forever family who will let love lead the way, never give up on the good times, and never stop loving her—maybe a little weekend love and a fellow feline friend who will spice up her life.

If You Want Sporty’s Future, Forget Her Past

When PETA rescued Sporty, the thin, lanky gal—with her equal parts spice and nice—had not yet been spayed and was battling coccidiosis, an intestinal infection caused by a parasite that can lead to diarrhea, vomiting, and dehydration. She’s since been “fixed,” vaccinated, and microchipped, and she’s now coccidia-free! At roughly 6 months old, Sporty only has plans to say goodbye to “outdoor cat” life.

If you wanna be Sporty’s adopter, you gotta get with her friends. Make it last forever—family never ends.
