The Transfarmation Project® recognized for prestigious award highlighting leadership in sustainable agriculture.
STOCKHOLM, Sweden (June 24, 2024) — The Transfarmation Project®, or Transfarmation™, a pioneering initiative dedicated to transforming factory farming for a sustainable future, has been announced as a finalist for the Curt Bergfors Food Planet Prize. This recognition underscores Transfarmation’s impactful contributions to addressing global food challenges and promoting sustainable global food production.
The Food Planet Prize, renowned for celebrating initiatives that drive positive change in food systems, acknowledges Transfarmation’s innovative approach to fostering environmentally friendly agricultural systems. As a finalist, Transfarmation™ is recognized for its commitment to creating a resilient and equitable food system that benefits people, animals and the planet.
At the core of Transfarmation’s mission is a dedication to reimagining the food system as a sustainable force, prioritizing planetary health, biodiversity and carbon sequestration. By empowering farmers with the tools and knowledge needed to transition to sustainable practices, Transfarmation™ is playing a pivotal role in mitigating the environmental impacts of factory farming and enhancing the resilience of rural communities in the face of climate change.
